Shopify stores

Shopify email marketing agency for launches, restocks and holiday sales.

A Shopify email marketing agency runs a store's email campaigns from idea to inbox, writing, designing and scheduling them in Shopify Messaging (formerly Shopify Email) or a connected tool like Klaviyo, with order and browsing data deciding who gets each one. EmailMarketingAgency.com charges a flat $1,000 a month for 8 campaigns, and you approve every email before it sends.

Your Shopify store already records who bought what, how often they order, how much they spend and which products they keep coming back to view. Most stores use little of it, because turning that data into a written, designed and tested campaign every few days is a job nobody on the team owns. As a Shopify email marketing agency, we take that job. We plan, write, build and schedule eight campaigns a month inside the email app your store already runs, and the account, the subscribers and every template we make stay yours.

Shopify Messaging or Klaviyo: which should your store send from?

Most email marketing for Shopify stores runs through one of these two tools. We work in both at the same $1,000, so our advice carries no upsell.

The allowance math is simple. According to Shopify's pricing page, every recipient counts as one email. A store with 6,000 subscribers sending all eight campaigns to the full list would use 48,000 emails, and the 38,000 over the allowance would add $38 to the bill. Segmenting lowers that, unused emails do not roll over, and abandoned checkout emails are always free.

If you sell a few hero products to a modest list, Shopify Messaging is often plenty, and the free audit will tell you if you have outgrown it. Already sending from Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Brevo or Constant Contact? We work in those too, at the same price.

Which Shopify email campaigns do we send, and to whom?

Eight campaigns a month is roughly two a week. These are the types we build most often for stores, with the data that decides who receives each one.

Full price emails such as launches and restocks stay in every month's mix, so revenue never hangs on a coupon. Each campaign gets one goal and one main button, and the monthly report says plainly which ones earned orders. For what each number in that report means, see our email marketing metrics guide. The workflow behind every send lives on our email campaign management page.

What do our launch and sale emails look like?

Clients have not cleared us to publish their numbers, so these notes cover the thinking behind each email, not its results.

  • HomeStop, "The Console Edit." A sale on gold stainless steel consoles at up to 25% off, with wall mirrors pitched as the natural add on. On Shopify, that email would go to console browsers and past furniture buyers, and a later mirror email only to console buyers. More on our furniture and home decor email marketing page.
  • Prifix, the G70 Gas Cooker launch. For this Egyptian appliance maker, the email led with three proof points (Italian SABAF burners, a digital oven display and full safety protection), stated the LE 11,500 price plainly and closed on the factory line "Built in Egypt. Fired by Italy." Any Shopify launch can follow that order: proof first, price in plain sight, then the button.
  • Whapi, "Black Friday Prep." This campaign went to Shopify merchants, not shoppers. Whapi is a Shopify app for WhatsApp automation, and the email urged merchants to build their flows early, since Meta can take up to 24 hours to approve a message template. Starting early is the habit we bring to every store's holiday calendar.

More campaigns, including our RV park work, are on the email campaign examples page.

How do we plan a Shopify holiday email calendar?

We plan backward from fixed dates. With Black Friday on November 27, 2026, that stretch is approved in early November and the shipping deadline emails are drafted before Thanksgiving.

DateWhat happensEmail we plan
Fri, Nov 27, 2026Black FridayVIP early access ahead of the public sale, then the launch to engaged buyers
Mon, Nov 30, 2026Cyber MondayLast call, sent only to people who clicked during the weekend and did not order
Thu, Dec 17, 2026USPS recommended send by date for Ground Advantage, lower 48 statesA "last day for standard shipping" email a day or two before
Fri, Dec 18, 2026USPS recommended send by date for Priority MailA Priority Mail reminder for shoppers who still want a boxed gift
Sat, Dec 19, 2026USPS recommended send by date for Priority Mail ExpressGift cards for anyone who is now too late to ship
Sun, Feb 14, 2027Valentine's DayGift picks at least a week ahead, with your own shipping cutoff in the email
Sun, May 9, 2027Mother's DayGift edit by price band, then a reminder to non buyers

The December rows are USPS recommendations for delivery before December 25. If you ship with UPS or FedEx, we use your carrier's dates and your real packing time instead. The full year is in our 2027 email marketing calendar.

What do we check before your first Shopify send?

We run this review before anything is scheduled.

  1. Sending domain. If your domain is not authenticated, Shopify rewrites your sender address to a shopifyemail.com subdomain. Shopify's deliverability guide recommends adding the CNAME records for SPF and DKIM, plus a DMARC record, so mail comes from your own domain.
  2. Smart delivery. On by default in Shopify Messaging, it narrows any segment over 1,000 subscribers to engaged subscribers. We decide per campaign whether to keep it.
  3. Consent. Campaigns go only to customers whose email subscription status is subscribed. Shopify tells merchants to send only to subscribers who opted in, and notes that delivery might be paused when engagement is low or many subscribers mark your email as spam. We also review how your store collects email addresses for promotional marketing, a choice Shopify puts in the Checkout settings of your admin.
  4. Klaviyo tracking. According to Klaviyo, browse events such as Viewed Product, Viewed Collection, Submitted Search and Added to Cart depend on Klaviyo's onsite tracking setup, and the Shopify branded versions also need "Track behavioral events" turned on in the integration settings. We confirm both before building browse segments.
  5. Spam rate. Shopify advises keeping your complaint rate below 0.1% and notes that Gmail and Yahoo require it to stay under 0.3%. We track complaints as part of our monthly deliverability monitoring.
  6. Footer. Every email carries a working unsubscribe link and your valid physical postal address. The FTC's CAN-SPAM guide requires a clear way to opt out plus that address, and gives you 10 business days to honor each opt out request. Our CAN-SPAM compliance checklist walks through the rest.
  7. Spending alert. Shopify Messaging can email you when monthly messaging costs reach a threshold you set. We suggest setting one before your busiest month.

After launch, our email deliverability service keeps watching authentication, bounces and complaints every month.

How much does a Shopify email marketing agency cost?

Agency quotes vary widely, so compare what each one delivers, not only the monthly fee. Ours is a single plan: $1,000 a month for eight finished campaigns, month to month with no long contract. For a Shopify store, that means we plan the calendar, choose the segments, write and design every email inside your Messaging or Klaviyo account, test subject lines, check links and rendering, time each send for your customers' time zones, watch deliverability and explain the results in one monthly report. You get two rounds of revisions on every email.

Some costs sit outside it. Abandoned checkout, welcome and post purchase flows are automations, so we quote them separately. Shopify bills your plan and any Messaging overage, and Klaviyo bills its own subscription. Shopify Messaging can also send SMS and WhatsApp, but our plan is email only, with no paid ads. Each line item is spelled out on our email marketing pricing page.

How do we get started with your Shopify store?

It starts with a free Shopify email audit. We review your sending domain, list health and recent campaigns, point out the dates you are about to miss, and send back a sample eight campaign calendar. It costs nothing and there is no obligation.

If you go ahead, you give us a staff account in Shopify or a user login in Klaviyo. Shopify says stores on the Basic or Starter plan can't add staff users, so on those plans we usually work in a Klaviyo account connected to your store, or confirm another access route during the free audit. Then you sign off on the first calendar and review drafts built in your own account. Typically your first campaigns are sent or scheduled within 30 days, sooner when access and feedback come back fast, and your part takes roughly an hour a month. Our first 30 days, week by week shows each step.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work in Shopify Email or only in Klaviyo?

Both. Shopify Email is now called Shopify Messaging, and we build campaigns there or in a Klaviyo account connected to your store. The price is $1,000 a month in either one, and we will tell you plainly which fits your list better.

Is Shopify Email free?

Up to a point. Shopify Messaging, the app formerly called Shopify Email, includes 10,000 free emails per calendar month on the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans, shared across campaigns and automations. Beyond that you pay per thousand emails, starting at $1 and getting cheaper at very high volume. Abandoned checkout emails never use up the allowance.

What access do you need to our Shopify store?

Only what the email work requires. For Shopify Messaging that is a staff account limited to the permissions you choose, and for Klaviyo it is a user login on your Klaviyo account. Shopify says stores on the Basic or Starter plan can't add staff users, so on those plans we usually work in a Klaviyo account connected to your store, or confirm another access route during the free audit. You stay the owner and can remove our access whenever you like.

Can you set up abandoned cart and welcome emails on Shopify?

Those are automated flows, and they sit outside the monthly campaign plan. We can quote them separately after looking at your store. The eight monthly campaigns are one time sends you approve, like launches, restocks and sales.

How many email campaigns should a Shopify store send a month?

Our plan is built on eight, about two a week, which leaves room for a launch, a restock, a sale with its reminder and something useful between offers. Because we segment, many subscribers receive fewer than eight, so a smaller list does not get worn out.

Can you help grow our Shopify email list?

Signup forms are not one of the eight monthly deliverables, but the free audit checks how your store collects subscribers, including your checkout settings, and flags the gaps. Segmenting every campaign also helps keep the subscribers you already have from tuning out.
