One email marketing package. $1,000 a month for 8 campaigns.

EmailMarketingAgency.com sells one email marketing package: eight finished email campaigns a month for a flat $1,000 (USD). The fee covers strategy, a campaign calendar, copywriting, design, segmentation, subject line testing, QA, scheduling, deliverability monitoring and a monthly report. It runs month to month, and your email platform bills you separately.

Many email marketing packages come in tiers, with strategy, testing and reporting held back for the most expensive plan. We sell one package at $1,000 a month instead. This page lists every line item, what costs extra, how agencies usually price the same work, and who should buy something else.

What is included in the $1,000 email marketing package?

Every row below is part of the one plan. Nothing here is an upgrade.

Line itemWhat you actually get
8 finished campaignsEight emails sent to your list every month. Finished means planned, written, designed, built, tested and scheduled, not a draft handed back for you to complete. A segmented send or a subject line test still counts as one campaign. See how we manage each campaign.
Monthly campaign calendarEight send dates, each with a theme, an offer and an audience, built around your launches, your seasons and US holidays. You sign off on it before anyone writes a word.
StrategyA reason for every send: what it sells or announces, which readers should get it, and the one action we want them to take.
CopywritingSubject line, preheader and body in your brand voice. For the Prifix G70 Gas Cooker launch, we told the factory story in one line: "Built in Egypt. Fired by Italy." More on our email copywriting approach.
Design and buildMobile first layouts built directly inside your platform account. The account, the list and every template stay yours.
SegmentationEach campaign goes to the slice of the list it was written for, such as past buyers versus browsers, or monthly guests versus weekend campers.
Subject line A/B testingTwo subject lines tested against each other where your platform plan includes A/B testing (HubSpot Professional, Brevo Standard and up, for example). On plans without it, we compare subject line approaches across similar sends.
QA testingEvery link checked, rendering checked on desktop and phone, and a spam score check before anything is scheduled. We also confirm the footer carries your postal address and a working unsubscribe link, which the FTC says CAN-SPAM requires in every commercial email. See our CAN-SPAM compliance checklist.
SchedulingSend times set for the US time zone your customers actually live in.
Deliverability monitoringSPF, DKIM and DMARC records, spam complaint rate and list hygiene. Google's sender guidelines ask senders to keep the spam rate in Postmaster Tools under 0.10% and never reach 0.30%, so we read that number every month. More on our email deliverability service.
Monthly reportOne plain English report: what went out, what readers clicked, what we learned and what changes next month.
Revisions and approvalsTwo revision rounds per email. You approve the calendar and every single email before it sends.

What does $1,000 a month buy over a year?

Every month you get 8 finished campaigns, with strategy, copy, design, testing and reporting inside the one fee. Over twelve months that is 96 campaigns for $12,000.

To cover the fee, the campaigns have to return $1,000 in gross profit, not $1,000 in sales. At an example gross margin of 40%, that is $2,500 a month in sales from email, and more once you add your platform subscription. Your margin will differ, so test your own list size, click rate and order value in our email revenue calculator.

Now compare it with hiring. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports a median annual wage of $78,760 for market research analysts and marketing specialists as of May 2025. That is a broad category rather than an email title, but it is a checkable baseline. Salary is also only part of what an employee costs: in private industry, wages made up 70.0% of employer compensation costs in June 2026 and benefits made up the other 30.0%, according to the BLS.

Your side of the cost is time. Plan on about an hour a month to approve the calendar and the drafts.

What is not included in the price?

Four things sit outside the plan, so budget for them separately.

  • Your email platform subscription. Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot and the others bill you themselves. We do the work inside the account you already pay for.
  • Automated flows. A welcome series, abandoned cart emails and post purchase emails are separate projects. We quote them on their own, and you see that quote before any work begins.
  • Paid ads. We do not run ad campaigns or manage ad spend.
  • SMS. We do not send text message campaigns.
Check your platform's send cap first

A free plan will not carry eight campaigns. Mailchimp's free plan covers 250 contacts and 500 sends a month (no more than 250 in a day), and Klaviyo's free plan covers 250 active profiles and 500 email sends a month, according to their pricing pages. Eight campaigns to 250 people is 2,000 sends, four times that cap. Paid tiers scale with list size: Mailchimp prices by contacts, and Klaviyo bills by active profiles plus emails sent. Put that line in your budget before month one.

How do agencies price email marketing packages?

Agency quotes generally follow one of five billing models. The model decides who absorbs the cost when a month takes more work than planned, so name it before you compare totals.

Pricing modelHow you are billedWhat to check
HourlyTime logged, often against a monthly capWhat counts as billable time, such as calls, revision rounds and reporting
Per email or per projectA set fee for each email or each buildWhether strategy, testing and the report sit inside that fee or on top of it
Tiered packagesHigher tiers add more sends, design or reportingWhich tier first includes segmentation and testing, the parts that improve results over time
Monthly retainerA fixed fee for an agreed scopeHow many finished emails the scope names, and how out of scope requests are billed
Performance or revenue shareA fee tied to revenue credited to email, sometimes on top of a base feeHow a sale gets credited to email, since that rule sets your bill
EmailMarketingAgency.com$1,000 a month, flat, for 8 finished campaignsYour platform subscription and any automated flows are billed separately

Why we chose one flat price

  • You know the bill before the month starts. Two revision rounds per email are built in, and there are no hourly overages or surprise lines for a strategy call.
  • Nothing important waits for a bigger tier. Testing, segmentation and reporting are how email improves, so every client gets them.
  • Eight is a workable rhythm. About two sends a week keeps you in the inbox without asking anyone to hear from you daily.
  • Month to month keeps us honest. No long contract holds you in. We keep the account by sending good email.

Who is this monthly email marketing package for?

Good fit

  • A US business with an email list and an account on one of the tools listed on our email platforms page.
  • Owners who want steady sending but have nobody in house to plan, write and design it.
  • Businesses with natural moments to talk about: launches, sales, seasons and local events. Past examples include a snowbird email for Lake Buchanan RV Resort in Burnet, TX, a Black Friday prep campaign for the Shopify app Whapi, and "The Console Edit" furniture sale for HomeStop. Browse them in our email campaign examples.
  • Teams that can spare about an hour a month for approvals.

Not a good fit

  • You only need automated flows built. Those are a separate project.
  • You want email, SMS and paid ads under one retainer.
  • You want to send every day. Eight campaigns a month is the plan.
  • You have no list yet. Campaigns need subscribers, so build the list first.
  • You want results guaranteed in writing. Nobody can honestly promise opens or revenue, and we will not pretend to.

How do you compare email marketing quotes side by side?

Two quotes at the same price can buy very different work. Put every quote, ours included, on the same footing first.

  1. Count the finished emails. Ask how many emails arrive each month planned, written, designed, tested and scheduled, not how many hours you are buying. With us it is 8 campaigns for $1,000.
  2. List every charge on top. Ask about setup or onboarding fees, extra revision rounds, stock photos, automated flows and the platform subscription.
  3. Check that writing and design are both inside the fee. If one is missing, add the cost of hiring it before you compare, then hold the quote against the full list of tasks an agency handles to catch anything else left out.
  4. Read the term and the exit. Note the minimum term and the notice period, and get it in writing that the account, list and templates stay with you.

Price is only half the decision. For the questions on work quality, deliverability and approvals, use the 15 in our guide on how to choose an email marketing agency.

How do you get started?

Start with a free email audit. We review your list health, deliverability records and recent campaigns, flag missed opportunities and send back a sample campaign calendar, at no cost and with no obligation. If you go ahead, month one opens with calendar approval, followed by drafts, revisions, QA and the first sends. Our email marketing process page breaks down each step and what we need from you.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an email marketing agency charge per month?

There is no single going rate. Agencies bill by the hour, per email, by tier, as a retainer or as a share of revenue, and two quotes at the same price can cover very different work. Ours is a flat $1,000 a month for 8 campaigns, so compare any quote on the cost of one finished, tested email.

Can I pay per email instead of buying a monthly package?

No. We sell one plan: 8 campaigns a month for $1,000. A fixed monthly count lets us plan a full calendar, run subject line tests and carry what one send teaches us into the next.

Is the email platform included in the package price?

No. Your platform bills you directly, and that is deliberate: the account, the list and the templates stay in your name. We log in and work inside it, whether you use Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Brevo, Constant Contact or Shopify Email.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. The plan runs month to month. Before you commit to anything, you can request a free audit of your current email program.

Can you build a welcome series or abandoned cart flow too?

Yes, as a separate project. Automated flows are outside the monthly campaign plan, so we scope and quote them on their own and you see the price before work starts.

What should a monthly email marketing package include?

A complete one covers planning, writing, design, building in your platform, testing, scheduling and a report, with a set number of revision rounds. Ask what is excluded as well as what is included, especially copywriting, testing and the platform fee.
